Schneider Digitar lens series

This complete series of digital photographic lenses, with a focal length range of 28 to 150 mm, has been specially designed to meet the needs of digital photography. It provides the ultra-high resolution required by today's CCD sensors, and by the next generation as well. This assures the highest possible image quality.

With the introduction of DIGITAR lenses, SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH makes it possible, for the first time, for professional photographers to work with a complete series of photographic lenses especially designed and manufactured for digital photography. In developing these unique lenses, SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH draws upon the highest performance characteristics of its many world-famous lenses, supplemented by extensive research, development and design involving digital imaging technology. As a result, the imaging capabilities of DIGITAR lenses are so great that they meet the highest resolution requirements of today's CCD imaging sensors as well as those of the new sensors being designed now for release in the next decade. With models including the WA-DIGITAR 2.8/28 wide angle lens, the standard focal length DIGITAR 47 through 150mm lenses, and the M-DIGITAR 5.6/80 and 5.6/120 macro lenses, the complete DIGITAR series covers a broad spectrum of applications. As with all SCHNEIDER large format lenses, DIGITAR lenses offer outstanding clarity and sharpness over their entire image fields.Their large image circles enable all the tilt and shift adjustments of professional studio cameras to be used in digital photography. This ensures that professional photographers can meet all their quality requirements whenever they shoot with high resolution digital backs. Furthermore, because DIGITAR lenses also provide outstanding, superior imaging quality with standard photographic film, photographers now need purchase only one set of lenses to have the best of both worlds.
