Linhof M 679 Digital Camera System

Scitex Leaf DCB 2 LIVE and Catchlight

The Leaf DCB2 LIVE is a multi shot back with live picture on monitor and a resolution of 2048x2048 pixel (chip size 31x31 mm), 14 bit color depth for high quality. The Catchlight is a one shot back for shots of dynamic matters with 1920x1920 pixels.

Digital Imaging for professional quality pictures has never been easier: it's as simple as changing a lens. There is also an adapter system for the rear standard. The Linhof M 679 is the ideal base for the logical trend to one shot technique with chip sizes of far less than 35 mm up to 6 x 6 cm /2 1/4 x 2 1/4 in. It is understood that the same digital backs can be utilized with existing medium format cameras thus serving a double purpose. The design of the Linhof M 679 is extremely stable for vibration-free work which is a must when using scan or multishot technique. The Linhof M 679 is an uncomplicated camera. Even beginners will have little difficulty in grasping the idea for adjustments thus obtaining quality pictures in table-top and catalog photography which cannot be achieved with non-adjustable digital imaging systems.

Dicomed Big Shot

One Shot Back featuring a sensor size of 4096 x 4096 pixel on an exposure area of 6x6 cm /2 1/4 x 2 1/4 in. For action shots in RGB with either flash light, any other kind
of lighting or day light. For files of 48 MB/8 bit or 96 MB/12 bit color depth.

Other Camera Backs available:

Rollei DSP 104 Dual technology for likewise one shot or multi shot for high end-quality with resolution of 1 2048x2048 pixel and 12 bit J colour depth.
Rollei Chip-Pack for one shot in B+W or multi shot in colour (31 mm chip, 2048 x 2048 pixel). w/o. pictures

Digital workflow requires a special range of accessories which is offered with the Linhof M 679. Apart from the adapter system for medium format cameras special accessories are available such as groundglass 3x3 for corresponding chip sizes, a magnifier viewing system, a Kodak special adapter, the Leaf filter-wheel holder and, of course, the latest digital lenses. Only with electronic shutter systems can all the controls of digital one and multishot backs be fully used. For this purpose, we recommend the Rollei Direct Drive Shutter and the Horseman ISS System.

DIGITAL LENSES

The new generation of digital lenses offer the specially high resolution necessary to produce optimum image information at small chip sizes in digital imaging techniques. The lens manufacturer Schneider Kreuznach offers their Apo-Componon HM lenses for universal use. Rodenstock offers the Apo-Sironar Digital lens 5.6/90 mm which is practically distortion-free and without colour fringes even at edges with high contrast.

We furthermore recommend for universal use Rodenstock Apo-Rodagon - N lenses.
